That's Exactly How I Felt! Which Is  Why I Helped Create USEL SumoBots League.  I Personally Started Out As A Coach With No Experience In Robotics.  Over The Years As I Became A Better Coach I Realized Robotics Competitions Were Becoming More Of A Competition Between Coaches Rather Than Kids. 

Although We Were Winning And Our Robots Became More Elegant, Our Kids And Parents Were Becoming Disconnected And Having Less Fun Because They Didn't Really Understand What Was Happening.  Kids Have Fun When Things Come Easy And Parents Enjoy Competitions That Are Easy To Understand. 

Using My Years Of Competition Experience And Background In Youth Sports I Helped Create A Robotics Competition That Every Parent Can Understand. And Just Like Youth Sports Because The Competition Is Simple Every Parent Can Help Their Child Without The Need For An Expensive Coach.  In Our Competitions We Encourage Parents To "Coach" From The Sidelines!  SumoBots Is The Perfect Family Sport!
