There is no limit on the number of family members who can attend the event. Each student will receive a maximum of one parking voucher

How Do Teams Get to Nationals?

In response to inquiries regarding the 2025 season, we can confirm that USEL-WRO Nationals is a direct registration event open to any teams both domestic and international. This means that teams from across the nation can sign up without having to go through additional qualifying rounds, creating a more inclusive and accessible competition.

What do Students need to compete?

1️⃣ Registration & Team Requirements

  • A registered team (typically 2-3 students with a coach).
  • Registration for the specific WRO category (e.g., RoboMission, RoboSports, Future Innovators, Future Engineers).

2️⃣ Required Equipment

  • A USEL robot kit (WRO robotics kit, will be provided depending on the age group).
  • Official WRO Challenge Mat & Game Elements (specific to the chosen category).
  • Laptop/Tablet with any programming software
  • Sensors, motors, and attachments as needed for their robot’s performance.

3️⃣ Software & Coding

  • Programming environment suitable for their robot (LEGO-based block coding or text-based programming like Python).
  • Line following, sensor integration, and automation logic depending on the challenge.

4️⃣ Competition Readiness

  • Understanding of WRO game rules & scoring criteria.
  • Robot design & testing before the competition.
  • Documentation or presentations (for some categories like Future Innovators).
  • Team strategy & problem-solving skills to complete the challenge efficiently.
