The Online Regional Open Qualifier is a fully online competition — no travel required. Submit your project from home, school, or your team's workshop and join teams from across the region for a shot at advancing to the WRO Americas Open Championship.

The Online Regional Open Qualifier is open to Future Innovators teams across all three age divisions (Elementary, Junior, and Senior). Teams do not need to be part of a specific school program to compete in this online event — any registered Future Innovators team is welcome to submit.

This is a fully online qualifier — teams participate entirely from their own location. There is no in-person event, no travel, and no physical venue.
The Online Regional Open Qualifier gives Future Innovators teams an accessible path to compete at the international level. Teams showcase their project-based robotics solutions tied to the current season theme, defend their work in a live judged Q&A, and compete for a spot at the WRO Americas Open Championship.
The Online Regional Open Qualifier is currently only available for the Future Innovators category, which is uniquely suited to a fully online, submission-and-Q&A format.
A project-based competition where students create their own innovative intelligent robotics solution relating to the current season theme. For the online qualifier, teams submit their presentation and report, then defend their project in a live video Q&A with judges.

Each participating team submits three things during the June 1–19 window. All three are required to be considered for advancement.

Schedule a live video call with judges to present your project in person and answer their questions in real time.
Live Q&A slots are booked on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the June 1–19 window. Teams that schedule early get their preferred time. Don't wait until the last week!
Top scoring Elementary Future Innovators team advances to WRO Americas Open Championship.
Top scoring Junior Future Innovators team advances to WRO Americas Open Championship.
Top scoring Senior Future Innovators team advances to WRO Americas Open Championship.
Every team that completes their full submission and Q&A receives an official certificate of participation.
