The Online Regional Open Qualifier is a fully online competition with no travel required. Submit your project from home, school, or your team's workshop and join teams from across the region for a shot at advancing to the WRO Americas Open Championship.

Who Can Participate
The Online Regional Open Qualifier is open to Future Innovators teams across all three age divisions (Elementary, Junior, and Senior) who have purchased the Season Pass. Season Pass holders will receive an email with full submission instructions and access details.

Format
This is a fully online qualifier. Teams participate entirely from their own location. There is no in-person event, no travel, and no physical venue.

About the Event
The Online Regional Open Qualifier gives Future Innovators teams an accessible path to compete at the international level. Teams showcase their project-based robotics solutions tied to the current season theme, defend their work in a live judged Q&A, and compete for a spot at the WRO Americas Open Championship.

Future Innovators
The Online Regional Open Qualifier is currently only available for the Future Innovators category, which is uniquely suited to a fully online, submission-and-Q&A format.
Future Innovators
A project-based competition where students create their own innovative intelligent robotics solution relating to the current season theme. For the online qualifier, teams submit their project report and presentation video, then defend their project in a live Zoom Q&A with judges later in June.
General Rules (All Age Groups)Elementary
Create innovative robotics solutions to real-world problems. Submit your project report and presentation video, then meet judges in a live Zoom Q&A.
Junior
Teams submit their project materials online and present their innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving to judges in a scheduled live Zoom Q&A session.
Senior
Advanced innovation projects with emphasis on entrepreneurial thinking and sophisticated technical solutions, submitted online and defended in a live Zoom Q&A with judges.
What You'll Submit
Each participating team submits two items through the portal during the June 1–19 window. The live Zoom Q&A is scheduled separately later in June.
Project Report
Submit your written project report documenting your research, design process, prototype, and results.
Presentation Video
Upload a video of your team presenting your innovative robotics solution tied to the current season theme.
Live Zoom Q&A
After submissions close, we'll schedule your team's live Zoom session with judges to answer their questions in real time.

Purchase Your Season Pass
Make sure your team has an active Season Pass. That's your ticket to participate in the Online Regional Open Qualifier.
Check Your Email
Season Pass holders will receive an email with all the information needed to submit your report and video.
Fill Out the Form
Complete the registration form linked in your email to confirm your team's intent to compete in the online qualifier.
Receive Your Credentials
After submitting the form, you'll receive:
- Access Code: your team's qualifier code
- Team Pin: secure team identifier
- Portal Link: direct link to upload
Submit Your Materials
Upload your project report and presentation video to the submission portal. Once submitted, you're good to go!
Zoom Q&A Scheduled
We'll set up your team's live Zoom Q&A session with judges later in June. Watch your email for scheduling details.
Didn't Receive Your Email?
If you've purchased the Season Pass but haven't received the submission email by June 1, please check your spam folder first. If it's not there, email us at support@usengineeringleague.org and we'll get you set up.
